Life Coaching

Welcome to my blog!

My name is Kylee Shields and I am so glad you found your way here. I hope the information you find here will be helpful, hopeful, & healing.

I received my Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University (ASU) and my BA in English (creative writing) and Linguistics from Brigham Young University (BYU).

I have ten years of professional experience working with adolescents including teaching religious classes for high school students at Spanish Fork high school (UT), running youth groups, working as Direct Care Staff at residential treatments centers (RTC), as a Therapist at a Domestic Violence Shelter, on the Native American Apache Reservation, as a Wilderness Therapist (ANASAZI), as a Family Therapist at a Therapeutic Boarding School, and much more.

I consider myself a Strengths Based/ Solution Focused Therapist which allows my clients to feel empowered to take action in their own lives. It is important to note that Life Coaching is not therapy but I use some of the same components of Solution Focused Therapy in my Life Coaching sessions:
  • Describing the problem(s) (not the focus of treatment)
  • Creating well thought out goals
  • Working cooperatively to identify solutions to the problem(s)
  • Feedback
  • Evaluation of client progress
Fee free to explore this blog to learn more about what I do, the book I published on making things happen in your life, and much more...

I am currently doing Life Coaching as a free lance part time job so my schedule is limited. I prefer to do sessions in person but I am available over the phone. Please inquire if you like more information or would like to see if we are a good fit for Life Coaching.

Initial Consolation= 30 min. (free)

I look forward to speaking with you,
